IMPROVEMENTS: This
impressive motel originally opened as a ‘Sleep Inn’
franchise in November of 1997. With its fifty-eight (58) large, light,
and beautiful guestrooms, including two (2) suites in an attractive and
modern three-story, frame and stucco style building, it has all the
attributes and charm to be by far the finest hotel in the entire
region. All guestrooms have interior entrances with electronic security
locks. Accessible via elegant staircases or elevator, each of its two
upper floors features its own light and roomy vestibule-lounge from
which extra-wide hallways lead to the guestrooms. Each is equipped with
an oversized and well-lit shower, private toilet, individual HVAC unit,
remote control cable television and state-of-the-art telephone service.
The two king-sized suites have the added luxury of Jacuzzi hot tubs.
Only four of the fifty-eight guestrooms are designated for smokers.
Additional hotel amenities include a large, built-in at ground level
outdoor hot-tub, an exercise room, table tennis room, a profitable
guest-laundry, a meeting room seating approximately 100-people
theater-style, business services, and an ample amount of parking,
capable to facilitate tour-buses. Land area is approximately 1.39 acres.
While the current ownership treats its guests to a continental
breakfast in an attractive lobby alcove, a number of full-service and
national-chain fast-food restaurants, including McDonald’s and
Subway Sandwich Shop, are located just across the street, within a
short walk, or limited driving distance. There are churches of various
denominations, excellent schools, a superb college,, banks, and
businesses, a Super Wal-Mart and an extensive array of shops carrying
everything from daily necessities through
hardware, gifts, souvenirs, and antiques. The locale is ideal for tourist and business clientele.
COMPETITION:
At this time there are two other, small and older motels in town, the
Iron Horse Motel (10-rooms), and the Badger Village Motel (8-rooms).
Like in most other cities and towns, there are rumors of a new motel to
be built, which may not always be a bad addition.
This property lends itself ideally for an Owner/Operator and/or Chain
Affiliation! A hands-on professional with marketing savvy in the
lodging industry will find exceptional financial upside in this hotel.
With its Website difficult to locate, it also has neither been wired,
nor set up for wireless, high-speed Internet access to attract
today’s students and business travelers.
